Ryan McDermott continues his weekly series with the release of his sequel to “Overflow” with “Overflow Part 2”. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first release, but Overflow 2 is an upgrade of smooth R&B that i’m use to from the GOOD Music affiliate. New title, “Overflow 2.0”?

“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”
― Henry David Thoreau

New Music City, USA.
A city that’s embraced change. No longer is Nashville known for just country, it’s built for and has developed into a City Of Music. It feels like there’s a music venue on every corner…and the music scene is still growing. This mini-doc showcases a major piece to that change and captures how this city has now become THE must-live city. It’s a city of non-stop music that continues to grow, branch out to other genres and accept change.
This is why I love living in Nashville.
Great mini-documentary by Nashville’s own Serpents & Snakes, ALLSAINTS, & Kings of Leon.—
If you haven’t heard of Hoodie Allen yet, to say you’re messing out is an understatement! Quick back story on him… he left a promising job at Google just a few years ago to concentrate solely on a music career. That decision is paying off! He is steadily on the rise and with each record he puts out, he becomes closer and closer to breaking it. Not many artist can do that and not many people can leave a fun/high paying job at Google to pursue music.
Check out his latest track, featuring the beautiful and talented Kina Grannis, “Make It Home”. This is definitely one of those “get familiar” records for Hoodie, because he’s making it known he plans on being around for a while. Check out the new track after the jump.
New Album Coming This Fall!
